[[RVNP Sec01 'o8]] journeys♥

This is the first time i'm posting, so... Thanks Ken for being so patient to an idiot like myself.
People, Ken and Peihao's recent post, the ones preceeding my own, are very worth reading, so, squadmates, please read it. My own one, if there are errors of any kind... don't mind me. Thanks.

We all know that uniform groups need to work as a unit, and RVNP is no different. Imagine for an instant, you see a scout trying to set up a flagpole system (thingy), complete with the movable flag, out in the field. Mind you, with those branch like spars. That is totally insane, because it would either fail miserably or take loads of time (and end up with a broken neck). Imagine a girl guide pumping in the middle of nowhere, alone. Imagine a SJAB cadet do mouth-to-mouth-resuscitation on a dummy- alone. Imagine a lone cadet cheering the NCC cheer.

Now imagine.
3 ranks, 3 columns: an RVNP squad.
A total of thirty-six cadets: RVNP unit.
Now take out your thesaurus and go under "stupid", or "silly".
What i have describedl is silly, foolish, ridiculous, idiotic, ludicrous, senseless, pointless, foolhardy, dim, dense, brainless, dopey, dumb, dull, obtuse, thick, slow, dense, absurd, crazy, daft, preposterous, nonsensical, illogical, misguided, half-baked, inane, harebrained, reckless, frivoulous, featherbrained, immature.

The thing is, what i've described, the 36 cadet concept, is fast becoming reality, not just an absurd work of a harebrained girl.
Believe it or not, we are changing history.
We will be leaders.

Leaders in making NPCC the worst UG for the first time since eternity.
Following our lead, the RVNP unit will have the least attending cadets since the first parade where forerunners of RVNP recited:

We, the members of the National Police Cadet Corps, do here and now, solemnly and sincerely pledge that:
We will always bear true faith and alligence to the President, and our republic of Singapore.
We will always be loyal and true to our country, our people, and the government.
We wil always be prepared to serve our country and community.
We will always preserve the peace and uphold the law.

Did anyone notice that in my "thesaurus description", there are exactly 34?
One for each of us, who, may unknowingly or recklessly, drive RVNP to the point of no return?
What happens when we become NCOs eventually?
One squadmate per post?
The rest?
Disappeared.
The people with smaller roles?
Gone.
Anyone could memorize NCO squad 2011's hierarchy in minutes.
Imagine if in 2011, the Sec 1 squad sees us walk pass and does not greet.
Not because they are shy.
Because they don't even know we belong to RVNP.
Don't you agree, squadmates, that that would be the biggest failure of all failures?

Define belonging in RVNP.
It is not only that the computer system of RV registers you as an RVNP cadet.
It is not that NCO Si Min (or any of the other NCOs for that matter) calls your name to check for your attendance during act.
It is physically and mentally accepting and telling yourself that you belong here. In RVNP.

To be frank, at first, when i came to RV, I hated it. Boring boring boring. I don't belong. When I was bodily thrown into RVNP, I detested it. Totally.
But why am I not emulating Shi Min or Si Heng?
Because, at least, RVNP is the best UG CCA in RV. Ever.
I fully accept that people from other UG in RV can scream and throw sharp objects at me (but before you pick them up, let me remind you that it would be considered "Battery", and you can be sued in juvenille court if you try)

Skeptical, squadmates?
Let's see, which UG has the most things we can do?
RVNP.
We have CC, CD, GK, Recre, Drills and PT. 6 things to choose from. If you consider cheering one, we have 7. The only bad thing could be that, unfortunately, we are not at the liberaty to choose what to do. The NCOs do, for good reason.

I used to only live for Recre in NP. Honestly, Captain's Ball is the only time i feel alive. And, thank goodness, our ex-NCOs gave us alot of it. I still live for Recre. But now, also CC, CD, and GK. Drills are ok, PT is- NCO Raymeo, hope it does not hurt your feelings, but- please have as little of it as possible.
I appeal to you, my squadmates, no matter how much, don't pon.
Live for what you love in RVNP. It may be meeting and seeing squadmates, PT (for some weird weird reason) or, like me, Recre.

Frankly, I disagree with Ken on his opinion, that the squad standard is lousy. Perhaps I am wrong, but I don't know.
But I do know that the attendence is damn pathetic.
For the best UG CCA, such attendence in our squad, our squad, where our NCOs fully support us (past tense, present tense AND continuous tense) WE NEED TO BUCK UP. Unity IS power.

Squadmates, take the first step.
GO FOR ACT.
Be there.
Physically,
and mentally.
